You see, at the time I was working around individuals that disliked their jobs, spent most of their time being gossipy at the water cooler in the office and were not ‘nice’ people in general simply because they had one thing in common….they were not happy. They didn’t have that passion that I had…but you know what? I noticed this, and continued to try to change them….and you know what happened instead? Through ‘osmosis’ I became like them. I wasn’t strong enough to fight it…in fact I didn’t even really see it happening…but it was and I was going down with them… I was entering a world of bitterness, procrastination, wanting less, complaining more…and then this quote I mention above changed everything for me.
I had a paradigm shift…and made a decision that I would NEVER surround myself with people that didn’t want what I wanted or didn’t want to find their passion or didn’t care to think BIGGER and BETTER and create change for the better.
You see, I was a divorced single Mother of 3 and I started really asking myself questions about their future…I was their provider and I wanted them to WANT more and I wanted them to realize you can have everything you want in life….you have to surround yourself with people that want what you want and have what you want to have.
I wanted more FREEDOM, I wanted to achieve INCOME STREAMS so that I could spend more time with my children AND have a lifestyle full of happiness and opportunities. So, I began being VERY SELECTIVE with whom I spent my time with.
Things began to happen very fast…it always does when you start making CLEAR DECISIONS.
